Pokémon Detective Pikachu Special Screening

27 April 2019

2019 may just be a record-breaking year for movies with some of our well-loved franchises coming to a close and brand-new concepts coming alive.

After the launch of Pokémon Go back in 2016 the world reignited it’s love for the Pokémon franchise, with the release this May of Pokémon: Detective Pikachu becoming the first live-action Pokémon film – and it lives up to the expectation!

We worked alongside Warner Bros. Pictures to invite a guestlist of familiar faces and their families to come along to BFI Southbank for Fun in the Foyer and a Special Screening of the movie before it’s official release.

Stacey Solomon and Leighton let their inner graffiti artist loose on the graffiti wall, Ben Miller’s kids had lightning bolts painted on their faces and everyone was clambering for a selfie with none other than Pikachu himself, Vanessa Bauer came in a yellow dress so was on theme and Youtube star Dan Middleton (Dan TDM) caused as big a stir with the kids as Pikachu!

Take a look at some of the coverage from the event here.
