Is there a better way to start the New Year and beat the January blues than with a Disney fiesta?!
To celebrate the UK release of Disney and Pixar’s most recent, highly anticipated animated movie guests were invited to a special celebration gala of ‘COCO’ at the marvellous One Marylebone, London.
The venue was transformed into a colourful Mexican fiesta, with a Day of the Dead theme, with live musical performances, including an exclusive performance from Nick Mulvey and Mexican influenced food and drink – lots of Margaritas!
The story follows 12-year old Miguel Rivera, whom despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music, dreams of becoming an accomplished musician, like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz. Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colourful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way he meets charming trickster Hector and together they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history.
The film has become a box office smash in multiple countries around the world including becoming the biggest film ever released in Mexico, taking more than all the other Pixar films released in China combined!
Big thanks to all who came to celebrate, including Karen Clifton, Ellise Chappell, Emily Canham, Melvin Odoom, Olivia Cox, Arlene Phillips, Mariah Idrissi, Matt Johnson, Yasmin Evans, Naomi Isted and more.
