Oasis: GFI Charity Trading Day

11 September 2018

1/1

Oasis are a poverty charity, helping people trapped in debt in South London to helping tackle sexual violence in Zimbabwe. They seek to create a sense of neighbourhood in communities that have previously been forgotten by society so that everyone, regardless of their background and starting point can join together to overcome life’s hurdles and reach their full potential. The life changing work of Oasis around the world is only possible thanks to the support of countless volunteers and donors.

This year Oasis were once again successful with an application to take part in the BGC Partners charity day in Central London. Numerous famous faces took to the trading floor to pick up the phones and start buying low and selling high, all in the name of making money for the charity they were there to represent and support.

We booked in ex-Saturday singer and I’m a Celeb 2017 contestant Vanessa White and Britain’s World Champion and Olympic swimmer Mark Foster to represent the charity, both were an instant hit with traders and made a number of sales during their time on the trading floor.
